Good
garden design, like good interior design, is the practical
art of making the very best of our surroundings while reflecting
the needs of the garden's every user. Whether
starting from scratch with a brand new house or renovating
the garden of an older period property, knowledge and design
skills are essential to select and sympathetically assemble
the plants and landscape materials from the vast array now
available.
Julie
Toll is an experienced garden designer whose working knowledge
of plants, soils and construction is founded on a deep love
of gardens. In addition to projects in the UK, She regularly
works in the Caribbean.
She
has won six Gold Medals and two Silver Medals at the Chelsea
Flower Show since 1990. In 1993 she was awarded a gold medal
for her Seaside Garden which also won the coveted Fiskar's
Sword of Excellence, the award for the very best garden
at Chelsea. 1997 saw her first garden at The Hampton Court
Flower Show. A Garden Richer In Wildlife won a gold medal
and The Tudor Rose Award for the best water garden.
Julie's
advice is available for projects of all sizes: from small
town gardens to rolling acres, whether formal or informal,
at home or abroad. You may simply need some ideas or a list
of suitable plants; perhaps drawing up of a master plan
for a finished garden or landscape; or more detailed drawings
to aid construction and planting.
Whatever
your needs, your enquiry is welcome.
